Diclofenac Indications
• inflammatory and degenerative forms of rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, spondylitis, vertebral pain, rheumatism nesustavnoy;
• acute attacks of gout;
• renal and biliary colic;
• pain and swelling after injuries and operations;
• severe migraine attacks.
Contraindications
• Known hypersensitivity to active substance, metabisulphite or any other components of the preparation.
• an allergic reaction to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, which can be expressed bouts of asthma, rhinitis, skin rash, swelling of the face.
• Active gastric or intestinal bleeding or perforation.
• Severe hepatic or renal failure.
• Severe heart failure.
• III trimester of pregnancy.
• The period of lactation.
• Childhood.
Dosage & Administration
Dose should be adjusted individually, starting with a minimum effective dose. Diclofenac-Health solution for injection should not be used for more than 2 days. If necessary, the treatment can continue using the other drug dosage form.
In order to prevent damage to nerve or other tissue at the site of intramuscular injection, follow the rules.
The dose is usually 75 mg (the contents of 1 ampoule) per day and administered by deep injection into the upper outer sector of the gluteus maximus. In severe cases (eg colic) the daily dose may be increased to two injections of 75 mg, between which comply with the interval of a few hours (one injection into each buttock).
Alternatively, one vial of 75 mg may be combined with other dosage forms of diclofenac (e.g., tablets, rectal suppositories) to sheathe the maximum daily dose of 150 mg.
