ACC Indications
Treatment of acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases which require reducing the viscosity of mucus, improving its discharge and coughing.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any other drug. Peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children aged 14 years appoint 400-600 mg acetylcysteine per day, divided into 1-3 receptions.
Children aged 6 to 14 years appoint 400-600 mg per day, divided into 2-3 receptions.
Children aged 2 to 6 years appoint 200-400 mg per day, divided into 2 doses.
The drug is recommended to be taken after meals. The tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water and drink a solution as soon as possible. Additional fluid intake increases the mucolytic effect of the drug.
Term treatment of chronic diseases determined by the physician depending on the nature and course of the disease. In acute uncomplicated disease acetylcysteine applied 5-7 days.
