Clarimax Indications
Treatment of infections caused by organisms susceptible to clarithromycin:
- Infections of the upper respiratory tract, ie the nasopharynx (tonsillitis, pharyngitis) and infections of the paranasal sinuses.
- Infections of the lower respiratory tract (bronchitis, acute lobar pneumonia and primary atypical pneumonia).
- Infections of skin and soft tissue (impetigo, folliculitis, eryzypeloyid, abrasions, infected wounds).
- Acute and chronic odontogenic infection.
- Disseminated or localized mycobacterial infections caused by Mycobacterium avium or Mycobacterium intracellulare.
-Localized infection caused by Mycobacterium chelonae, Mycobacterium fortuitum or Mycobacterium kansasii.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics and other ingredients.
Features of the application
Clarithromycin should not be given to pregnant women without careful evaluation of the benefit / risk, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Prolonged or repeated use of antibiotics can cause excessive growth of bacteria and fungi insensitive. In case of superinfection should discontinue the use of clarithromycin and start appropriate therapy.
