Citimax Indications

- Acute phase of stroke treatment and their consequences.
- Traumatic brain injury and its consequences.
- Neurological disorders (cognitive, sensitive, motor) caused by cerebral degenerative disorders and vascular origin.
 

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any other drug.
- Increased tone of the parasympathetic nervous system.

Dosage & Administration
The drug is used intravenously or intramuscularly. In the case of intravenous administration of the drug should be used in the form of slow intravenous injection (for 3-5 minutes, depending on the dose administered) or intravenous drip (40-60 drops per minute).

The recommended dose for adults is 500-2000 mg per day. The maximum daily dose - 2000 mg.
In the first 2 weeks of the drug is used at a dose of 500-1000 mg 2 times a day intravenously in the future - to 500-1000 mg 2 times a day intramuscularly.

Acute and urgent conditions - the maximum therapeutic effect is achieved in the appointment of the drug in the first 24 hours.
The recommended duration of treatment, where there is maximum therapeutic effect - 12 weeks. If necessary continue treatment with citicoline dosage form for oral administration.

Elderly patients - dose adjustment is required.
