Severe staphylococcal infections when penicillin is contraindicated for the patient and other drugs with a lower risk of toxicity and use of tobramycin when appropriate, according to the doctor, as evidenced by the results of testing the sensitivity of bacteria.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tobramycin or other aminoglycoside antibiotics.
Neuritis of the auditory nerve, severe chronic renal failure.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is applied intramuscularly (w / m) or intravenously (v / v) drip. For i / m application of the appropriate dose is administered directly from the ampoule.
For w / the introduction of the solution diluted in 100-200 ml 0.9% sodium chloride or 5% glucose solution, administered over 20-60 minutes.
Dose for adults and children aged 1 year - 1 mg / kg daily - 3 mg / kg, the maximum daily dose - 5 mg / kg.
