Betadine Indications
- hand disinfection and antiseptic treatment of mucous membrane, such as prior to surgery, gynecological and obstetric procedures, catheterization, biopsies, injections, punctures, taking blood, as well as a first aid in case of accidental contamination of skin infected material;
- antiseptic treatment of wounds and burns;
- hygienic and surgical hand disinfection.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is intended for external use in the form of diluted and undiluted. Do not dilute the drug with hot water. Valid only brief heating to body temperature.
Solution is used for the treatment of hands and skin before surgery, catheterization, injections, punctures, and others.
Solution can be applied 2-3 times per day.
Hygienic hand disinfection 2 times 3 ml of undiluted p-ra - each dose of 3 mL is left on the skin for 30 seconds.
Surgical hand disinfection 2 times with 5 ml of undiluted p-ra - per 5 ml dose are left on the skin for 5 min.
For skin disinfection undiluted rr after its application remains to dry.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to iodine or to other components of the drug, hyperthyroidism, adenoma or dysfunction of the thyroid gland (nodular colloid goitre, endemic goitre and Hashimoto's thyroiditis), dermatitis herpetiformis Duhring, the condition before and after treatment or scintigraphy with radioactive iodine, renal failure, pregnancy and breast-feeding, age up to 1 year.
