Contraindications
- Liver disease in the acute phase, which may include a persistent increase in liver enzymes of unknown etiology.

Dosage & Administration
Hyperlipidemia (heterozygous familial and non-family) and mixed dyslipidemia (type IIa and IIb Fredrickson classification)
The recommended starting dose is 10 Etset® or 20 mg 1 time a day. For patients requiring a significant reduction in LDL-C (over 45%), therapy may be initiated dosing of 40 mg 1 time a day.
