Treatment and prevention of infected burns, bedsores, ulcers, superficial wounds with low exudation, abrasions; skin transplantation.



Ointment is prescribes for topical application.

After the removal of necrotic tissue ointment applied thinly (2-4 mm) on the damaged surface is usually 1-2 times a day, a sterile bandage or open pit. In severe cases, cause the ointment to 4 times per day. It is essential that all the damaged areas of the skin layer were coated while ointments.

Before each subsequent application of the ointment the damaged area should be washed with 0.9% sodium chloride or p-rum antiseptic ointment to remove residues and wound exudate.

The maximum single dose - 300 g Treatment lasts up to 3 weeks.

Dosing depends on of the patient, but dependent on the size and depth of the wound lesion.
In applying the ointment over a large surface should monitor kidney and liver function and blood count.

The patient should be given plenty of alkaline water.



- hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine, sulfonamides or to any excipient, part of the ointment;
- genetic deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (using hemolysis may occur over large surfaces);
- deep festering wounds and burn wounds with profuse exudation (impractical);
premature infants, newborns and children under the age of 3 months (due to the risk of kernicterus);
Pregnancy and breast-feeding.
