TIMENTIN Indications
Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by pathogens with established or predictable sensitivity, including severe hospital infections and predictable set or infection in patients with compromised or immunosuppressed:
- Septicemia
- Bacteremia
- Peritonitis
- Intra-abdominal sepsis
- Postoperative infection
- Infections of bones and joints
- Infections of skin and soft tissues
- Respiratory tract infections
- Severe or complicated infections of the urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis)
- Infections of the ear, nose and throat
Contraindications
Timentin contains ticarcillin which belongs to a class of penicillin, so it should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics (eg, penicillins and cephalosporins).
