Furagin Indications
Acute and chronic urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, postoperative infections of the genitourinary system.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Furamagum to derivatives of nitrofuran or the excipients of the drug;
- Severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL / min);
- Polyneuropathy (including diabetic);
- Lack of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (risk of hemolysis);
- Porphyria (a disease caused by metabolic decomposition products of hemoglobin);
- A rare congenital galactose intolerance
- Lack of sucrose / izomaltazy / lactase, fructose intolerance / lactose;
- Patients who are on hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
Dosage & Administration
The drug must be taken inside, immediately after eating, drinking plenty of water. Adults: 100-200 mg (2-4 tablets) 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days depending on the severity of the disease, treatment effectiveness, as well as the level of kidney function. If necessary, repeat the treatment after 10-15 days.
The maximum daily dose - 600 mg. In the case of missing another dose of the drug should be taken as soon as the patient remembers. Do not take a double dose to replace the missed dose.
