Diaglizide Indications
Diabetes mellitus type II (insulin-dependent) in adults with the inability to control the concentration of glucose in the blood only diet, exercise or weight loss.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to gliclazide, other sulfonylureas and the inactive components of the drug;
- Diabetes type I (insulin-dependent);
- Severe ketoacidosis, diabetic coma;
- Severe renal insufficiency;
- Severe hepatic insufficiency;
- Miconazole therapy.
Dosage & Administration
Assign an adult orally.
As with all hypoglycemic agents, Diaglizide requires individual selection of doses, depending on the individual patient response to treatment. For patients whose glucose levels are usually well controlled diet in case of a temporary breach glucose control, Diaglizide is administered for a short period.
The initial dose. Patients under 65 years - 1 tablet (80 mg gliclazide) per day.
Patients under the age of 65 years should start with 40 mg 1 per day (gliclazide use drugs with the ability of the dose).
Increasing the dose is recommended at intervals of not less than 14 days from the close control of blood sugar.
The average daily dose - 1-3 tablets of Diaglizide (80 mg tablets) in two divided doses.
The standard dose - 2 tablets of the drug a day in two divided doses.
The maximum daily dose - 4 tablets of the drug in two divided doses.
