- Meniere's disease, vertigo associated with vestibular dysfunction, vascular, traumatic and infectious origin (otogenny labyrinthitis);
- for the prevention of motion sickness when kinetoses;
- complex treatment of women with osteochondrosis of the cervical-thoracic spine and climacteric disorders;
- Children - stuttering, enuresis, tics.
Contradictions
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug during pregnancy and lactation, acute renal failure.
Dosage & Administration
Orally. The course of treatment is 4-6 weeks. Adults: 250-500 mg 3 times a day. If necessary, the daily dose can be increased to 2.5 grams (2500 mg). The maximum single dose for adults - 750 mg for those aged> 60 years - 500 mg. The maximum daily dose - 2500 mg.
For treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome Phenibutum is used in the early days of treatment at 250-500 mg 3 times daily and at bedtime to 750 mg, with a gradual decrease in the daily dose to normal adult. In the case of vertigo vestibular dysfunction of infectious origin (otogenny labyrinthitis) and Meniere's disease Phenibut used in acute 750 mg 3 times a day for 5-7 days, with a decrease in the severity of vestibular disorders - 250-500 mg 3 times daily for 5-7 days and then 250 mg 1 time per day for 5 days.
