Agen Indications
- Hypertension.
- Chronic stable angina.
- Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal angina).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine, amlodipine or to any other component of the drug.
- Hypotension severe.

Dosage & Administrations
Adults. The usual starting dose for the treatment of hypertension and angina is 5 mg amlodipine once daily 1; Depending on individual patient response, the dose can be increased to a maximum dose of 10 mg 1 time a day.
There is experience with amlodipine in combination with thiazide diuretics, alpha-blockers, beta-blockers or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors in patients with hypertension.
When angina amlodipine can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antianginal drugs in patients with angina refractory to nitrates and / or adequate doses of beta blockers.
No need to adjust the dose in case of simultaneous use of thiazide diuretics, beta-blockers and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors.
Children under 6 years (hypertension). The recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg 1 time per day. If you need blood pressure is achieved within 4 weeks, the dose can be increased to 5 mg 1 time per day. Use of the drug in doses exceeding 5 mg for these patients not studied.
