Advodart Indications
Treatment and prevention of the progression of benign prostatic hyperplasia by reducing prostate size, decrease the severity of symptoms, improved urinary flow, reducing the risk of acute urinary retention and surgery if necessary.
In combination with tamsulosin - treatment and prevention of the progression of BPH by reducing prostate size, decrease the severity of symptoms and improve the flow of urine.
Dosage & Administration
Avodart can be administered alone or in combination with an α-blocker receptor tamsulosin (0.4 mg).
Adult males (including the elderly)
The recommended dose Avodart - 1 capsule (0.5 mg) a day inside. The capsule is swallowed whole, not chewed or opened as contact with the capsule contents may result in irritation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and pharynx.
Avodart can be taken without regard to meals.
Despite the fact that the decrease in severity of symptoms can be observed after a short time after taking the drug for an objective assessment of the effectiveness of drug treatment should be continued for at least 6 months.
Kidney failure
For patients with renal failure- it is not necessary to adjust the dose.
Contradictions
- Hypersensitivity to dutasteride, other inhibitors of 5-α-reductase, or other ingredients.
- Severe hepatic insufficiency.
