Aciclovir Indications
Treatment of infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by the virus Herpes simple, including initial and recurrent genital herpes.
- Prevention of recurrence of infections caused by the virus Herpes simple, in patients with normal immune systems.
- Prevention of infections caused by the virus Herpes simple, in patients with immunodeficiency.
- Treatment of infections caused by the virus Varicella zoster (chickenpox, herpes zoster).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aciclovir, valaciclovir or other ingredients.
Dosage & Administration
The tablet should be taken whole with water.
An adequate level of hydration should be maintained using high doses .
