Catadolon Indications
Catadolon: painful muscle spasms of the musculoskeletal system; tension headache; pain caused by malignant neoplasm; the pain of dysmenorrhea; post-traumatic pain, pain after trauma / orthopedic surgery and after trauma.
Catadolon retard: painful muscle tension of the musculoskeletal system.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to flupirtine maleate or to any excipient in the composition of the drug, severe liver disease, hepatic encephalopathy, cholestasis, alcoholism, myasthenia gravis (Myasthenia gravis), ringing in the ears.
Dosage & Administration
Dose is adjusted individually, taking into account the intensity and pain sensitivity of the patient to the drug.
Catadolon . Adults appoint 1 capsule 3-4 times a day at regular intervals. In cases of very severe pain dose can be increased to 2 capsues Catadolon drug 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose of flupirtine maleate should not exceed 600 mg (equivalent to 6 capsules Catadolon drug).
Patients aged 65 years and over in the initial phase of therapy should be used Catadolon 2 times per day - 1 capsule in the morning and evening. Given the intensity of the pain and the patient's susceptibility to the drug dose can be further increased.
In the treatment of patients with severe renal impairment or hypoalbuminemia should not exceed a daily dose of 300 mg of flupirtine maleate.
