ACC Indications

Treatment of acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases which require reducing the viscosity of mucus, improving its discharge and coughing.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine ​​or any other drug. Peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage.

Dosage & Administration

Adults and children aged 14 years are appointed with 400-600 mg of Acetylcysteine ​​per day, divided into 1-3 receptions.

Children aged 6 to 14 years appoint 400-600 mg per day, divided into 2-3 receptions.

Children aged 2 to 6 years appoint 200-400 mg per day, divided into 2 doses.

The drug is recommended to be taken after meals. The contents of the sachet dissolved with stirring in ½ cup hot water to drink and, if possible, more hot. Additional fluid intake increases the mucolytic effect of the drug.

Term treatment of chronic diseases determined by the physician depending on the nature and course of the disease. In acute uncomplicated disease acetylcysteine ​​applied 5-7 days.
