5 Fu Indications
progressive or metastatic colorectal cancer;
adjuvant chemotherapy for stage III colon cancer (T1-4 N1-2) after preliminary therapeutic resection of the primary tumor;
adjuvant chemotherapy for rectal cancer in stages II (T3-4) and III (T1-4 N1-2) after preliminary therapeutic resection of the primary tumor;
progressive stomach cancer;
progressive pancreatic cancer;
progressive cancer of the ventriculus;
advanced or metastatic breast cancer;
adjuvant therapy for primary invasive breast cancer;
squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
Contraindications
sensitivity to fluorouracil or to any of the components of the drug;
myelosuppression;
significant deviations in the number of formed elements in the blood;
bleeding;
stomatitis, ulcers of the oral mucosa and gastrointestinal tract;
severe diarrhea;
severe impairment of liver and / or kidney function;
severe infectious diseases (for example, shingles, chickenpox);
severe exhaustion (cachexia).
Dosage and Administration
The total daily dose should not exceed 1 mg. Usually, for adults, doses are determined based on 1 kg of the patient's actual body weight, however, for patients with overweight, edema, ascites and other forms of pathological fluid retention in the body, doses are determined based on 1 kg of ideal body weight.
