Dosage & Administration

Instill 1 drop of the drug into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye (s) twice a day.

If another topical ophthalmic drug is used concomitantly, the interval between instillation of Mardosia and another medicinal product should be at least 10 minutes.

Patients should wash their hands before using the drug and avoid contact of the dropper tip with the surface of the eye or eyelids. To ensure proper dosing, do not increase the opening of the dropper tip.

Patients should be advised that ocular solutions may be contaminated with common bacteria that are known to cause eye infections if mishandled. The use of contaminated solutions can lead to serious eye damage and subsequent loss of vision.

To reduce systemic absorption, followed by a decrease in systemic side effects and an increase in local efficacy of the drug after instillation, it is recommended to close the nasolacrimal duct or close the eyelids for 2 minutes.
