Lozap Plus Indications

Hypertension of patients with losartan monotherapy or hydrochlorothiazide does not allow adequate control of blood pressure.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to losartan or to any of the ingredients.

Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides derivatives (such as hydrochlorothiazide).

Resistant to therapy hypokalemia or hypercalcemia.

Anury.

Severe hepatic impairment, cholestasis and disorders associated with bile duct obstruction.

Refractory hyponatremia.

Symptomatic hyperuricemia / gout.

Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min).
Pregnancy, the second and third trimesters.

Dosage & Administration

Lozap Plus can be used regardless of the meal. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Plus Lozap can  be administered in conjunction with other antihypertensive drugs.

Hypertension

The combination of losartan and hydrochlorothiazide is not intended for use as initial therapy. It is indicated only for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy with losartan potassium or hydrochlorothiazide monotherapy. We recommend a dose titration for each component separately (for losartan and hydrochlorothiazide). The usual starting and maintenance dose -
1 of 1 tablet per day. For patients without adequate therapeutic response the dose may be increased to 2 tablets 1 time per day.

The maximum dose - 2 1 pill once a day. Typically, stable antihypertensive effect is achieved within 3-4 weeks of treatment.
