Lidocaine Indications
Ventricular arrhythmias (extrasystoles, tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation), including in the acute phase of myocardial infarction, implantation of artificial pacemaker, glycoside intoxication, anesthesia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug / other amide local anesthetics, a history of epileptiform seizures to lidocaine, severe bradycardia, severe hypotension, cardiogenic shock, severe chronic heart failure (II-III degree), sick sinus syndrome, syndrome Wolff-Parkinson -Uayta, Adams-Stokes syndrome, atrioventricular (AV) block II and III degree, hypovolemia, severe hepatic impairment / kidney disease, porphyria, myasthenia gravis.
Dosage & Administration
Assign intramuscular, intravenous bolus, intravenous drip. Before using the drug requirement for skin test for sensitivity to lidocaine, as evidenced by swelling and redness at the injection site.
A solution of 10% lidocaine injected intramuscularly in the gluteal or deltoid muscle. Adults intramuscularly injected 10% solution at a dose of 2-4 mg / kg (maximum single dose - no more than 200 mg (2 mL)) at intervals of 4-6 hours. Children intramuscular injection is not recommended.
