Levostad Indications
Adults, infection mild or moderate severity caused by levofloxacin susceptible microorganisms:
- acute bacterial sinusitis;
- exacerbation of chronic bronchitis; Ø community acquired pneumonia;
- complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis); Ø infections of the skin and soft tissues;
- chronic bacterial prostatitis.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones;
- infancy;
- patients with epilepsy;
- a history of tendon lesions as a result of receiving fluoroquinolones;
- during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: internally.
Take 1 or 2 times a day. The dose depends on the type, severity of the infection and the sensitivity of pathogens. Levostad® Tablets should be swallowed without chewing, drinking plenty of fluids.
Take them as you can with meals and at other times. The tablet can be divided along fault lines for ease of use. Levostad® should be applied at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking antacids, sucralfate and iron cations as adsorption levofloxacin is significantly reduced during their concomitant use. Regarding the dosage should follow these recommendations.
