Levokom Indications
Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome.
Levokom : the treatment of idiopathic Parkinson's disease, symptomatic parkinsonism.
Dosage & Administration
Levoklm. The optimum daily dose must be carefully selected for each patient. For patients starting treatment with the drug, the initial dose is ½ tablet 1-2 times a day after meals. If necessary, the dose is increased by the gradual addition of ½ tablet daily or every other day until the optimum therapeutic effect.
The maximum daily dose of tablets Levoca - 8 tablets (200 mg of carbidopa and 2 g of levodopa).
In the process of selection of a dose of the patient must be installed continuous monitoring, especially in the creation or strengthening of such side effects as nausea and abnormal involuntary movements, such as dyskinesias, chorea and dystonia. An early manifestation of an overdose can be blepharospasm.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug; angle-closure glaucoma; simultaneous treatment of MAO inhibitors (these drugs need to cancel up to 2 weeks before Levokom destination); undiagnosed skin disorders or a history of melanoma; During pregnancy and breastfeeding; age 18 years.
