Lamictal Indications
The partial and generalized seizures, including tonic-clonic and associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (adults and children), bipolar disorder in adults older than 18 years with predominantly depressive phases.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Precautions should be prescribed in patients with renal insufficiency.
Dosing & Administration
Oral administration.
Epilepsy: Adults and children over 12 years of not receiving sodium valproate, the initial dose of 25 mg 1 time a day for 2 weeks, further 50 mg 1 time a day for 2 weeks, and then increase the dose of 50-100 mg every 1 -2 weeks to achieve optimum therapeutic effect.
The maintenance dose - 100-200 mg / day in 1 or 2 divided doses (some patients required dose of 500 mg / day).
