Komboglyza XR Indications

As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adult patients with type II diabetes if suitable treatment saxagliptin  and metformin.

Contraindications

The drug should not be used to treat type I diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis because the drug will not be effective in these conditions. The drug is not studied in combination with insulin.

Kidney disease or renal dysfunction (eg, as indicated by the level of creatinine in serum ≥1,5 mg / dL [men], ≥1,4 mg / dL [women] or deviations in terms creatinine clearance), which also may develop as a result of diseases such as cardiovascular collapse (shock), acute myocardial infarction, and septicemia.

Dosage & Administration

In antyhiperhlikemichniy therapy dose Komboglyza XR should be administered individually depending on the current treatment regimens, the efficacy and tolerability and should not exceed the maximum recommended dose saksahliptynu 5 mg sustained-release metformin 2000 mg. Typically, the drug should be used Kombohliza XR once daily in the evening, while eating, gradually increasing the dose to reduce side effects from the gastrointestinal tract associated with taking metformin
