KLACID INDICATIONS
treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to clarithromycin:
- lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia and others.);
- upper respiratory tract infections (sinusitis, pharyngitis, etc.);
- skin and soft tissue infections (folliculitis, erysipelas, etc.).
APPLICATION
The recommended dose of clarithromycin for adults and children over the age of 12 years is 500 mg 1 time per day during the meal. In more severe infections the dose can be increased up to 1000 mg 1 time per day (two 500 mg tablets). The usual duration of treatment is from 5 to 14 days, except in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia and sinusitis, which requires 6-14 days of therapy.
The tablets should be swallowed whole without chewing.
For patients with renal failure: in this form of the drug is not used in patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min), because it does not adequately reduce the dose. These patients used an immediate release clarithromycin tablet (Klatsid tablets of 250 mg). For patients with moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance - 30-60 ml / min) dose reduced by 50% to a maximum dose of clarithromycin - 1 depot tablet per day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics, and other ingredients.
