Griseofulvin Indications
Athlete's skin, hair and nails caused by fungi of the genus Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epydermophyton:
trichophytosis, favus, microspores scalp and smooth skin, athlete's skin (including Athlete groin), ringworm of feet and hands, onychomycosis.
Contraindications
· hypersensitivity to griseofulvin and other components of the drug
· severe leukopenia and systemic blood diseases
· severe liver and kidney
· porphyria
· systemic lupus erythematosus;
· malignancies;
· lactase deficiency, galactosemia, a syndrome of glucose-galactose malabsorption (product contains lactose).
Dosage & Administration
Tablets are taken with or after meals (with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil). In microsporia adults appoint 1 g of the drug griseofulvin day. The daily dose is preferably divided into 2 doses.
The drug take every day to the first negative result of mycological research, then in the same daily dose for 2 weeks in a day and 4 times - within the next 2 weeks.
