Farmadex Indications
- treatment of Steroid-sensitive noninfectious inflammatory and allergic conditions of the conjunctivitis,
- cornea and anterior segment;
- inflammation after eye injuries and surgery.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to dexamethasone or any of the components;
- viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (superficial keratitis caused by Herpes simplex, cow and chicken pox);
- mycobacterial infection of the eye, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium avium;
- fungal diseases of ocular structures;
- untreated form of a purulent infection of the eye;
Dosage & Administration
It is used by adults and is only intended for ophthalmic use.
In severe or acute conditions should be instilled 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye every 60 minutes. While improving the state multiplicity instillation was reduced to 1-2 drops every 2-4 hours. Thereafter, the dosage is reduced to 1 drop 3-4 times per day.
In chronic diseases instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye every 3-6 hours, or more frequently to achieve the desired effect.
Allergic states 1-2 drops every 3-4 hours until the desired effect.
The duration of treatment is determined individually physician, on average from 2 to 9 days.
