Eszol Indications
- Vulvovaginal candidiasis.
- Pityriasis versicolor.
- Ringworm caused by pathogens susceptible to itraconazole (Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., Epidermophyton floccosum), such as Tinea stop dermatomycosis groin, Tinea corporis, Tinea hands.
- Oropharyngeal candidiasis.
- Onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes and / or yeasts.
- Histoplasmosis.
- Systemic mycoses (when first-line antifungal therapy can not be used or when treatment failure of other antifungal drugs that may be due to existing pathology, insensitivity of the pathogen or drug toxicity):
- Aspergillosis and candidiasis.
- Cryptococcosis (including cryptococcal meningitis): Treatment of Immunocompromised patients with cryptococcosis and all patients with cryptococcosis of the central nervous system.
- Maintenance therapy in patients with AIDS to prevent the recurrence of the current fungal infection.
Itraconazole should be administered for prophylaxis of fungal infections in patients with prolonged neutropenia when standard therapy is insufficient.
Contraindications
Itraconazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
