Erdomed Indications
To reduce the viscosity and facilitating expectoration of bronchial secretions in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, larynhofarynhit, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hipersekretorna asthma, bronchiectasis.
Prevention of recurrent episodes of infections and complications after surgery, such as pneumonia or partial lung atelectasis.
Also, this drug is indicated as concomitant therapy intreatment antibiotics if bacterial respiratory infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed or to substances containing free SH-group.
Stop use of this drug in the following cases:
- In disorders of the liver (eg by increasing the levels of alkaline phosphatase enzymes or serum, etc.);
- Renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <25 mL / min);
Dosage & Administration
Children
The dose is determined according to body weight and age of the child:
15-20 kg (3-6 years) 2.5 ml twice daily
21-30 kg (7-12 years) 5 mL twice daily
more than 30 kg (over 12 years) 5 ml three times a day
Adults
The dose for adults is 10 ml, 2 times a day.
