Drotaverine Indications
- smooth muscle spasm associated with diseases of the biliary tract: holetsystolitiazi, holanhiolitiazi, cholecystitis, peryholetsystyti, cholangitis, papillitis;
- spasms of smooth muscle in diseases of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, uretholithiasis, peyelitis, cystitis, tonsillosis of the bladder.
As an auxiliary treatment for:
- spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, cardiovascular and / or pilorospazmi, enteritis, colitis, spastic colitis, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome accompanied by flatulence;
- headache tension;
- gynecological diseases (dysmenorrhea).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to drotaverine or to any component of the drug. Severe hepatic, renal or heart failure (cardiac output syndrome small).
Dosage & Administration
The usual daily dose is 40-240 mg (2-12 ml) in 1-3 injections intramuscularly.
In hepatic or renal colic it is recommended to inject slowly intravenously 2-4 ml (40-80 mg) of the drug.
To reduce the opening phase of the cervix at the beginning of the period of opening with physiological births - 40 mg intramuscularly.
If this dose is not effective, after 2 hours another 40 mg of Drotaverin is injected.
