ISO MICK Indications
- prevention and treatment of angina attacks;
- acute myocardial infarction;
- acute left ventricular heart failure.
Dosage & Administration
The dosage and duration of therapy are determined by the physician individually.
Used internally adults 10-20 mg 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before a meal without chewing, drinking plenty of fluids. With inadequate treatment effectiveness may gradually increase the dose to the maximum - 120 mg per day.
Patients with congestive heart failure to determine individual dosing is essential hemodynamic monitoring.
The interval between doses of the drug should be at least 4 hours.
Elderly patients, the dose may be reduced, especially with impaired renal function and / or liver.
Contradictions
- Hypersensitivity to isosorbide dinitrate, other nitrate compounds or other components of the drug; acute circulatory failure (shock, circulatory collapse);
- cardiogenic shock, if not possible correction of left ventricular end-diastolic pressure;
- hypotension (systolic blood pressure <90 mm Hg);
- hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy; constrictive pericarditis;
- cardiac tamponade;
- anemia.
Therapy with nitrates is contraindicated with PDE inhibitors use.
