Triphthazin Indications
Schizophrenia, especially paranoid, simple (with apatite-abulicheskimi syndrome), nuclear schizophrenia with severe paranoid-hallucinatory phenomena (with psychopathy, neurosis, hypochondriac, senestopaticheskoy symptoms), periodic schizophrenia.
Health Triftazin-used in other psychiatric disorders, for which is accompanied by delusional symptomatology and hallucinations: alcoholic hallucinations and paranoia, involutional psychoses and neuroses.
The drug can be used as an antiemetic.
Dosage & Administration

Single dose for adults at the beginning of the treatment is 5 mg trifluoperazina (1 tablet). Then it gradually increased to 5 mg per reception, up to a daily dose of 30-80 mg (in some cases - up to 100-120 mg). The daily dose is divided into 2-4 reception. Upon reaching the prescribed effect optimal doses for 1-3 months and then slowly reduced to 5-20 mg per day. The last dose is used hereinafter as the support.
When depressive-hallucinatory and depressive-delusional states the drug is used in conjunction with antidepressants.
For the elderly, treatment is initiated with half (or less) dose; dose increase is carried out more slowly.
For children aged 6-12 years, the maximum daily dose - 15 mg (treatment starts with a dose of 1 mg 1-2 times a day). At the beginning of treatment prescribed pills with a lower dose trifluoperazina.
Contraindications
Acute and chronic inflammatory liver disease, heart disease with impaired conduction in the stage of decompensation, severe kidney disease, inhibition of bone marrow hematopoiesis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 6 years, hypersensitivity to the drug.
