Piracetam Indications
Adults:
- Symptomatic treatment of psycho-organic syndrome, accompanied by memory impairment, decreased concentration and total activity;
- Treatment of vertigo and related disorders of balance, with the exception of dizziness and mental vasomotor origin;
- Treatment of cortical myoclonus or as a mono-drugs in complex therapy;
- In the treatment of sickle cell anemia.
Children:
- Treatment of dyslexia in children aged 8 years in conjunction with other appropriate methods, including speech therapy;
- Treatment of cortical myoclonus or mono-drugs as adjuvant therapy;
- In the treatment of sickle cell anemia in children aged 3 years.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to piracetam or pyrrolidone derivative, and other components of the drug;
- The acute phase of hemorrhagic stroke;
- End-stage renal failure (with creatinine clearance less than 20 mL / min);
- Huntington's chorea.
Dosage & Administration
Use the drug as an injectable solution in acute cases when it is impossible or oral forms of piracetam. The drug is applied intravenously (administered slowly over several minutes).
