Isoniazid Indications

Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to isoniazid or excipients of the drug.
Epilepsy and other diseases accompanied by a tendency to seizures, severe psychosis, polio (including history), toxic hepatitis in history due to the use of derivatives of isonicotinic acid hydrazide (ftivazid et al.), Expressed atherosclerosis, acute liver and / or renal insufficiency.
Isoniazid in a dose higher than 10 mg / kg of body weight per day is contraindicated in pregnancy. The period of lactation.
Dosage & Administration
The daily exchange rate and dose is determined individually, depending on the course and forms of the disease, the degree of inactivation of isoniazid, efficacy and tolerability of the drug.
Isoniazid is administered orally before meals or 30-40 minutes after eating.
Adults and children over 4 years of age is assigned a daily dose of 5 mg / kg, 1 time per day for daily use or 10 mg / kg at intermittent reception (3 times a week).
The maximum daily dose for adults - 600 mg for children - 500 mg.

Adverse reactions
