Digoxin Indications
· Congestive heart failure;
· Flicker and flutter (to regulate heart rate);
· Supraventricular paroxysmal tachycardia.
Contraindications
· Increased sensitivity to digoxin, other digitalis glycosides or to any component of the drug;
· Digitalis intoxication drugs used previously;
· Arrhythmia caused by glycoside intoxication, history;
· Marked sinus bradycardia, AV-block II-III syndrome Adams-Stokes-Morgagni;
· Syndrome carotid sinus;
· Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy;
· SUPRAVENTRICULAR arrhythmias associated with additional atrioventricular conduction pathways, including syndrome Wolff-Parkinson-White;
· Ventricular paroxysmal tachycardia / ventricular fibrillation;
· Aneurysm of the thoracic aorta;
· Subaortalnyy hypertrophic stenosis;
· Isolated mitral stenosis;
· Endocarditis, myocarditis, unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, constrictive pericarditis, cardiac tamponade;
· Hypercalcemia, hypokalemia.
Dosage & Administration
Tablets are swallowed without chewing, drink plenty of water. Recommended for use between meals.
Doctor determines the dose individually.
Adults and children aged 10 years to apply for fast digitalization 0.5-1 mg (2-4 tablets) ─ and then every 6 hours 0,25-0,75 mg for 2-3 days. After a therapeutic effect used in maintenance doses of 0,125 mg * -0.5 1.2 receptions per day.
