Coronal Indications
- Hypertension;
- Ischemic heart disease (angina);
- Chronic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in combination with ACE inhibitors, diuretics, if necessary - cardiac glycosides.
Contraindications
- Acute heart failure or heart failure in a state of decompensation requiring inotropic therapy;
- Cardiogenic shock;
- Atrioventricular block II and III (other than that of patients with artificial pacemaker);
- Sick sinus syndrome;
- Severe sinoatrial block;
- Symptomatic bradycardia;
- Symptomatic hypotension;
- A severe form of asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;
- Late stages of peripheral circulatory violations or Raynaud's disease;
- Pheochromocytoma, not treated;
- Metabolic acidosis;
- Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any other drug.
Dosage & Aadministration
Coronal drug should be taken without chewing, in the morning regardless of the meal, washed down with some liquid.
Hypertension; coronary heart disease (angina).
The recommended dose is 5 mg (1 tablet Coronal 5) a day. If moderate hypertension (diastolic pressure of 105 mm Hg. Art.) Suitable dose of 2.5 mg (½ tablet Coronal 5).
If necessary, the daily dose may be increased to 10 mg (1 tablet Coronal 10) per day. The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg per day.
Change and dose adjustment are set doctor individually, depending on the patient.
Coronal must be used with caution in patients with arterial hypertension or ischemic heart disease accompanied by heart failure.
Chronic heart failure with left ventricular systolic dysfunction in combination with ACE inhibitors, diuretics, if necessary - cardiac glycosides.
Standard therapy of chronic heart failure: ACE inhibitors (or angiotensin receptor blocker in case of intolerance to ACE inhibitors), b-adrenergic blockers, diuretics and, where appropriate, cardiac glycosides.
Coronal is administered to treat patients with chronic heart failure with no signs of deterioration.
Treatment of chronic heart failure drug Coronal starts according to the following titration regimens and may be adjusted depending on individual reactions.
- 1.25 mg bisoprolol fumarate * 1 per day for 1 week, increasing to
- 2.5 mg bisoprolol fumarate * 1 per day for the next one week, increasing to
- 3.75 mg bisoprolol fumarate * 1 per day for the next one week, increasing to
- 5 mg bisoprolol fumarate 1 per day for the next 4 weeks, increasing to
- 7.5 mg bisoprolol fumarate 1 per day for the next 4 weeks, increasing to
- 10 mg bisoprolol fumarate 1 per day as maintenance therapy.
