Coraxan Indications
Treatment of coronary heart disease.
Symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris in patients with coronary artery disease and normal sinus rhythm. Coraxan is prescribed for:
- Adult patients who have contraindications or restrictions to the use of β-blockers;
- In combination with β-blockers in patients whose condition is not controlled by the application of optimal dose β-blockers.
Treatment of chronic heart failure.
Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events (cardiovascular death or hospitalization for worsening heart failure) in adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure in sinus rhythm and heart rate (HR) ≥ 70 beats / min.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any component of the drug.
- Resting heart rate <60 beats / min before treatment.
- Cardiogenic shock.
- Acute myocardial infarction.
- Severe hypotension (blood pressure <90/50 mm Hg).
- Severe hepatic insufficiency.
- Sick sinus syndrome.
- Sinoatrial block.
- Unstable or acute heart failure.
- Presence in patient artificial pacemaker (heart rate controlled exclusively by artificial pacemaker).
- Unstable angina / stenocardia.
- AV-block III degree.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration.
Assign an adult.
Take twice a day, morning and evening during meals.
Coraxan tablet 5 mg of the drug can be divided into equal doses.
Coraxan drug tablet 7.5 mg is not subject to division.
Treatment of coronary heart disease.
The recommended starting dose ivabradyne - 5 mg twice daily. After three or four weeks of treatment, depending on the response to treatment, the dose can be increased to ivabradynu 7.5 mg twice a day.
