Cod liver oil Indications
- prevention and slowing down the process of atherosclerosis;
- relapse prevention after myocardial infarction;
- treatment of diseases associated with abnormally high lipid levels.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the drug's components, coagulation disorders, hemophilia, all disorders associated with bleeding, idiopathic hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, active forms of pulmonary tuberculosis, acute and chronic liver or kidney disease, nefrourolitiaz, acute and chronic cholecystitis and pancreatitis, the period of exacerbation of chronic cholecystitis and pancreatitis, the D hypervitaminosis, sarcoidosis, prolonged immobilization, thyrotoxicosis.
Dosage & Administration
Fish oil is used orally in adults and children aged over 6 years: 1-2 capsules 3 times a day.
It is recommended to apply the preparation courses (2-3 months). After 2-3 months of the application is necessary to control blood coagulation parameters and depending on the result to continue the course of treatment.
The capsules should preferably be taken after meals and drink plenty of fluids.
