Clotrimazole Indications
Infections in the genital area (vaginitis) caused by fungi (Candida usually kind), and superinfection caused by bacteria susceptible to clotrimazole.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any other drug.
Dosage & Administration
Do not use the pill inside. Avoid contact with eyes.
For prescription simultaneous processing of the external genitalia of 1% ointment or 1% clotrimazole solution; if necessary, your doctor may prescribe additional systemic drugs (eg metronidazole internally).
Patients with hepatic impairment should periodically check its functional state.
In the absence of effect should conduct microbiological examination to confirm the diagnosis and exclude other causes of disease. We recommend the simultaneous treatment of both sexual partners.
During the use of this drug should avoid vaginal sex because the infection can be passed on to sexual partners. The drug can reduce the effectiveness of contraceptives, made of latex (condoms, diaphragms). This effect is temporary and occurs only during treatment. Patients are encouraged to use alternative methods of contraception for at least 5 days of the drug.
