Adults
Treatment of hypercholesterolemia
Primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia) or mixed dyslipidaemia (type IIb) as an adjunct to diet when diet efficiency or other non-drug products (such as exercise, weight loss) is insufficient.
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to diet and other lipid-lowering treatments (eg LDL apheresis) or when such treatments are not appropriate.
Children and adolescents (10 to 17 years: boys - phase II Ténéré scale and above, girls - at least a year after the first menstrual period).
Treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia (type IIa) or mixed dyslipidemia (Type IIb) due to heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to diet when diet efficiency or other non-drug methods (exercise, weight loss) is insufficient.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any excipient;
- Liver disease in the active phase, including unknown cause, persistent transaminase elevations in serum and increased transaminase any more than 3 times the upper limit of normal (ULN);
- Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL / min);
- Myopathy;
- Concomitant use of cyclosporine;
- During pregnancy and lactation;
- Women of childbearing age should use adequate contraception.
40 mg dose is contraindicated in patients with factors that contribute to the development of myopathy / rhabdomyolysis. These factors include:
- Renal dysfunction moderate severity (creatinine clearance <60 mL / min);
- Hypothyroidism;
- The presence of individual or family history of hereditary muscle diseases;
- A history miotoksychnosti caused other inhibitors of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors or fibrates;
- Alcohol abuse;
- Situations that can lead to increased levels of drug in plasma;
- Patients belonging to the Mongoloid race;
- Concomitant use of fibrates.
Dosage & Administration
Before treatment, the patient must assign a standard holesterynoznyzhuvalnu diet to be followed and during treatment. The dose should be individualized depending on the purpose of therapy and treatment effectiveness, given the current recommendations.
Clivas can be taken at any time of the day regardless of the meal.
The tablet should not be chewed, but you can share. Drink water.
