Cefuroximе Indications
Infections caused by organisms susceptible to cefuroxime:
- Upper respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis;
- Respiratory tract infections: acute and chronic bronchitis exacerbation, pneumonia;
- Urinary tract infections, cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis;
- Infections of skin and soft tissues: furunculosis, pyoderma, impetigo;
- Treatment of early manifestations of Lyme disease and prevention of late complications in adults and children aged 12 years.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cefuroxime, other cephalosporins, as well as excipients a history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to penicillin or any other ß-lactam antibiotics.
Dosage & Administration
Typically, the duration of treatment is 7 days.
For better absorption of the drug are advised to take after meals.
