CEFODOX INDICATIONS

Infections caused by pathogens sensitive to cefpodoxime:

- ENT organs (including sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis);

- treatment of tonsillitis and pharyngitis Cefodox prescribed for chronic or recurrent infections, as well as in cases of known or suspected pathogen resistance to antibiotics shirokoprimenyaemym;

- respiratory tract (including acute bronchitis, relapses or exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, bacterial pneumonia, bronchiolitis, complicated by bacterial superinfection);

- uncomplicated infections of the upper and lower urinary tract (including acute pyelonephritis and cystitis);

- skin and soft tissues (abscesses, cellulitis, infected wounds, boils, folliculitis, paronychia, carbuncles and ulcers);

- uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis.

APPLICATION

Cefodox tablets taken by mouth during a meal to enhance absorption.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins, penicillins.

Children under the age of 12 years (for tablets); for suspension and - a hereditary galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or malabsorption syndrome glucose / galactose, children under the age of 5 months.
