Cavinton Forte Indications
Neurology: cerebrovascular insufficiency, accompanied by neurological or psychiatric disorders - transient ischemic attack, ischemic stroke, post-stroke, vascular dementia, atherosclerosis, hypertension and post-traumatic encephalopathy, vertebrobasilar insufficiency.
Ophthalmology: chronic disease of the retina and the choroid (including - vasoconstriction and thrombosis of the central artery and retinal vein).
Otology: alleviating vascular hearing, toxic (including drug) or other origin (idiopathic, caused by noise overloading), Meniere's disease, idiopathic tinnitus.
Dosage & Administration
Introduce only drip slowly (maximum infusion rate - 80 drops in 1 min), in / jet or / m introduction is not allowed.
The initial daily dose for adults - 20 mg (the content of 2 ampoules) diluted in 500 ml infusion of p-ra. Depending on tolerability for 2-3 days the dose can be increased to 1 mg / kg / day. The course of treatment lasts on average 10-14 days, the usual daily dose for a patient weighing 70 kg is 50 mg (the content of 5 ampoules diluted in 500 ml infusion solution). For the infusion can be used all the r-ry containing isotonic pp sodium chloride or glucose.
Due to the lack of Cavinton hepato- and nephrotoxicity is no need for dosage adjustment in patients with kidney or liver disease.
After completion of infusion therapy is recommended to continue treatment with the oral form of the medication - 2 tablets (10 mg) 3 times a day.
Contradictions
Acute stage of hemorrhagic stroke, severe coronary artery disease, severe arrhythmia, an indication of a history of hypersensitivity to the drug.
