Bromhexine Indications
Therapy of acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases involving complications discharge of phlegm.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug; gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer; respiratory system diseases, progress is accompanied by the formation of large quantities of liquid mucus.
Dosage & Administration
Children under 6 years old.
Measuring 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, corresponding to 12 mg bromhexine hydrochloride per day. Infants and children under 2 years of drug prescribed only by appointment and supervision of a physician.
Children aged 6 to 14 years and patients weighing less than 50 kg.
2 measuring spoons 3 times a day, corresponding to 24 mg bromhexine hydrochloride per day.
Adults and children older than 14 years.
2-4 measuring spoons 3 times a day, corresponding to 24-48 mg bromhexine hydrochloride per day.
+ Drink plenty of fluids.
The duration of treatment depends on the indications and disease and is set individually.
Do not use the drug over 4-5 days without consulting a doctor.
With impaired renal function or a severe liver disease drug used only on doctor's advice and after careful evaluation of possible correlation benefits and possible risks of its use, thus increasing intervals may need the drug and reduce the dose.
