Details

Bimican Eco Indications

Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in adult patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma and intraocular hypertension (as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy to beta-blockers).

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Dosage & Administration

For topical use only in ophthalmology.

When nasolacrimal occlusion is applied or the eyelids are closed for 2 minutes, systemic absorption is reduced. This may reduce systemic side effects and increase the local activity of the drug.

If more than one topical ophthalmic drug is used, a five-minute break should be given between each instillation. Eye ointments should be applied last.

Before applying eye drops:

- Before using the medicine for the first time, you should first practice using a dropper bottle by slowly pressing it in order to apply one drop to the eye without touching the eyes.

- If you are sure that you can drip one drop, choose the position that you think is most comfortable (you can sit, lie on your back or stand in front of a mirror).

Instructions for use:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before using the drug.

2. If the package or vial is damaged, do not use the drug.

3. Make sure that the sealing ring on the cover is not damaged. Before the first use, it is necessary to unscrew a cover, insignificant resistance can be felt, at a rupture of a guarantee ring.

4. If the warranty ring is damaged during the first opening, it must be removed and discarded to avoid injury.

5. It is necessary to tilt the head back and gently pull the lower eyelid in order to form a space between the eyeball and the eyelid. Contact between the dropper tip and the eye, eyelids or fingers should be avoided.

6. Gently press on the walls of the vial and allow the drops to get into your eye. Note that the delay between compression and dropout can last several seconds. Do not press too hard. If you do not know how to inject the drops, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

7. Then press the nasolacrimal duct for about 2 minutes (pressing your finger on the corner of the eye near the nose) and close your eyes and keep them closed during this time. This ensures that the drop is absorbed by the eye and that the amount of product that passes through the tear duct to the nose is likely to decrease.

8. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to the surface of the eye or surrounding tissues.

9. If the doctor prescribes the use of the drug in the conjunctival sac of the other eye, it is necessary to repeat steps 5-6.

10. After use and before re-use, the vial should be shaken once downwards without touching the dropper tip to remove residual solution in the tip. This is necessary to ensure the delivery of the next drops. After instillation, screw the cap on the vial.

Children.

The efficacy and safety of Bimican® Eco in children have not been studied, so the drug is not recommended for use in children (under 18 years of age).
