Benzonal IC Indications

Various forms of epilepsy.

In the treatment nonconvulsive and polymorphic seizures - in combination with other antiepileptic drugs (with geksamidin, carbamazepine, diphenine). In the complex treatment of hemolytic disease of the newborn.
 
Dosage & Administration

The drug is taken orally after meals.

Treatment starts with a minimum single dose gradually (1 every 2-3 days) to increasing its optimal daily therapeutic dose. In compensation stable dose gradually to one single dose a day. Restoring attacks back to optimal daily dose.

Doses established physician depending on the patient, single dose for adults - from 0.1 grams to 0.2 grams daily - 0,8 g Higher doses for adults: single - 0.3 grams daily - 1 g Treatments continuous and long-lasting.

Newborn - 5.9 mg / kg per day.

Children under 3 years are required number of tablets are ground to a powder state, dissolved in a little water and applied as a slurry.

For children 3-6 years - single dose - 0,025-0,05 g per reception (0.1-0.15 grams per day), 7-10 years - 0.05-0.1 g per reception (0.15 -0.3 grams per day) 11-14 years - 0.1 g per reception (0.3-0.4 g per day). Higher doses for children (older): single - 0.15 grams daily - 0,45 g

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, severe parenchymal liver damage, kidney damage from violation of their functions, cardiac decompensation, diabetes, depression, and trimester of pregnancy, lactation.
