Ascorbic acid Indications
Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency.
Prevention and treatment of scurvy, stimulation of tissue regeneration, in the treatment of bleeding (uterine, lung, nasal), the syndrome of radiation sickness, fractures, bleeding diathesis, poisonings and infections, Addison's disease, overdose of anticoagulants in pregnancy and lactation, with increased mental and physical strain overloaded.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, thrombosis, susceptibility to thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, diabetes, severe kidney disease, intolerance to fructose malabsorption syndrome glucose-galactose urolithiasis (at doses above 1 g per day).
Dosage & Administration
Orally after meals.
To prevent hypovitaminosis children from 3 to 14 years is prescribed 2 tablets (50 mg) per day, children 14 years and adults - 2-4 tablets (50-100 mg) per day.
Therapeutic doses for children aged 3 to 7 years - 2-4 tablets (50-100 mg) 2-3 times a day for children aged 7 to 10 years - 4 tablets (100 mg) 2-3 times day for children aged 11 to 14 years - 4-6 tablets (100-150 mg) 2-3 times a day for children aged 14 years and adults are 2-4 tablets (50-100 mg) 3 -5 times a day.
Pregnant women, women after childbirth and at low levels of vitamin C in the mother's milk are administered with a daily dose of 12 tablets (300 mg) for 10-15 days, after which the prophylactically (during lactation) to 100 mg per day.
The course of treatment determined by the physician depending on the nature and course of the disease.
