Ascorbic acid Indications
Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency
Providing increased need for vitamin C during growth, pregnancy and lactation; with increased physical and mental stress, infectious diseases and intoxication, hemorrhagic diathesis, in the treatment of bleeding (nasal, lung, uterine); in radiation disease, Addison's disease, overdose of anticoagulant, with soft tissue injuries and infected wounds that slowly heal, fractures.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, thrombosis, susceptibility to thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, diabetes, severe kidney disease, urolithiasis (when using more than 1 g per day), fructose intolerance, children under 4 years.
Dosage & Administration
The drug is taken orally after meals.
Adults and children aged 14 years to prevention should take 1-2 pills (50-100 mg) per day for children aged 4 to 14 years - 1 tablet (50 mg) per day.
Therapeutic doses for children aged 14 years and adults are 1-2 tablet (50-100 mg)
3-5 times a day for children aged 4 to 7 years - 1-2 Pills (50-100 mg) 2-3 times a day, aged 7-10 years - 2 tablets (100 mg) 2-3 times a day, aged 10-14 years, 2-3 pills
(100-150 mg) 2-3 times a day.
Pregnant women and women after childbirth and at low levels of vitamin C in breast milk should take 6 pills (300 mg) per day for 10-15 days, then for the prophylaxis of 2 pills (100 mg) per day for the entire period of breastfeeding.
The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the disease and the doctor determined individually.
