Ambroxol Indications
Therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with bronchial secretion disorders and weakening of sputum.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity (allergy) to ambroxol or other components of the drug;
- Hereditary fructose intolerance.
Dosage & Administration
Children:
under 2 years of age: 2.5 ml (1/2 dosing spoons) 2 times per day, equivalent to 15 mg ambroxol day;
ages 2 to 6 years of age: 2.5 ml (1/2 dosing spoon) 3 times a day, equivalent to 22.5 mg ambroxol day;
aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml (1 dosing spoon) 2-3 times a day, equivalent to 30-45 mg of ambroxol day.
The drug can be taken regardless of meals. Food intake does not affect the efficacy.
In acute diseases should consult a doctor if symptoms persist and / or increase, despite the drug.
